Ymweliad a Cartref Plant yn Legnicia,
Gwlad Pwyl, Gorffennaf 2002
Visit to an orphange in Legnicia, Poland, July 2002

Beth oedd pwrpas y daith eto?
What was the purpose of the journey again?

Ar fore’r 19fed mis Gorffennaf, 2002 gadawodd bws mini Gwersyll Glan-llyn ar gyfer taith 36 awr i Legnicia, Gwlad Pwyl. Ar ôl wythnosau o godi arian, dros £6,300 i gyd, roeddem yn barod i gychwyn ein taith i gartref plant yn Legnicia.
On the morning of the 19th of July, everyone was busy loading a minibus for the 36 hour bus journey to Legnicia, Poland. After weeks of fund raising (over £6,300), we were ready to set off to the orphanage in Legnicia.

Yn syml roeddem am fynd allan i aros mewn cartref oedd wedi ei darparu ar gyfer 67 o blant amddifad.  Y bwriad pennaf oedd gwneud ffrindiau newydd, cymdeithasu a chynorthwyo i wella ychydig ar eu safonau byw gyda'r arian gasglwyd ar eu cyfer.
Simply, we were going to an orphanage in Legnicia, which had 67 residents with the aims of socialising, making new friends, and to
help create better living conditions with the money raised.

Roedd y plant yn blant amddifad.  Yr oedd gan y cartref lwfans o £10 y mis i ddilladau, bwydo ac addysgu’r plant.  Er hyn roedd eu croeso a’u cyfeillgarwch yn arbennig. Cyn hir roeddent wedi dysgu criw yr Urddaholics i gyfri ym Mhwyleg, dweud helo, nos da, diolch ac yn y blaen.
The children were orphans, and the orphanage had £10 a month to clothe them, feed them and to educate them. Despite this, their welcome was exceptional. Before long, they had taught the Urddaholics how to count in Polish, say hello, how are you, good night, thanks and so forth. They even taught us to sing (well tried to anyway)!

Roeddent hyd yn oed yn ein dysgu i ganu (wel…trio canu ta beth!)
They even taught us to sing (well.... tried to!)

Llwyddwyd i brynu ystafell gyfan o gyfrifiaduron, 5 cyfrifiadur yn cynnwys cadeiriau, byrddau, paent a rhoddion. Yn ogystal â hyn gyda'r arian oedd yn weddill mae rhai o blant y cartref yn ffodus i gael y cyfle i ddod i Gymru a threulio ychydig o amser yng ngwersyll Llangrannog, haf eleni.
We succeeded in buying a whole computer room for them, 5 computers, tables, suitable chairs for the computers, paint and gifts. As well as this, we will bhe inviting them back to Llangrannog this Summer.

Yr oedd y daith yn un hynod lwyddiannus. Yr oedd nifer or criw yn emosiynol iawn wrth ymadael.  Yr oedd un peth yn sicr cafodd pob un brofiadau bythgofiadwy.
The journey was a very successful one. A few of the crew were very emotional when they left. Everyone definately had unforgettable experiences.

Ym mis Hydref 2002 derbyniodd y criw Wobr Ragoriaeth am Waith Ieuenctid yng Nghymru gan Gyngor Ieuenctid Cymru am eu gwaith da ym Mae Caerdydd. Cyflwynwyd y wobr gan Jane Davidson.
In October 2002 , the crew recieved an award for youth work in Wales from the Wales Youth Council, for their good work in Cardiff Bay. The award was presented by Jane Davidson.

Yn ddiweddar bu criw Ystalyfera draw i weld MP Peter Hain i ddatgan eu pryder ynglyn â stad y cartrefi ar stad ariannol sydd yng Ngwlad Pwyl. Bu trafodaeth fawr ynglyn â beth allent wneud i helpu.
Recently, a crew from Ystalyfera went to see MP Peter Hain to tell of their worries about the state of the homes and the financial state in Poland. A long discussion followed about what they could do to help.

Ddiwedd mis Mawrth 2003 derbyniodd criw Gwynllyw wobr (ardal Torfaen) am eu gwaith rhagorol yng Ngwlad Pwyl. Roedd hi’n noson arbennig iawn yn Neuadd y Sir, Cwmbran lle derbyniwyd y wobr gan Rhodri Morgan MP AM, Prif Ysgrifennydd y Cynulliad.
At the end of March 2003, a crew from Gwynllyw (Torfaen area) recieved an award for their exceptional work in Poland. It was a special evening at the County Hall, Cwmbran, where the award was presente3d by Rhodri Morgan MP AM.

Mae’r prosiect yn datblygu o ddydd i ddydd!
The project is developing from day to day!
