YSGOL GWYNLLYW
"Children should be seen and not heard". Ai dyma’n delfryd? Ai dyma
beth sy’n digwydd yn ein cymdeithas ar hyn o bryd? On’d oes gennym ni,
ieuenctid Cymru ac ieuenctid y byd, yr hawl i leisio’n barn, i gael
ein cymryd o ddifrif, ac i gael ein parchu a’n trin yn gyfartal?
"Children
should be seen and not hears". Is this our ideal? Is this what happens
in our society todya? Haven't we, the youth of Wales and the world,
got the right to express our opinion, to be taken seriously, and to be
respected and treated equally?
Diolch i fudiadau fel yr NSPCC a Childline,
mae help ar gael 24 awr y dydd i oresgyn problemau fel bwlio a
hiliaeth a phroblemau teuluol megis merched ifanc yn beichiogi,
beichiogrwydd annisgwyl, a chamdrin corfforol, rhywiol ac emosiynol.
Thanks to organisations such as the NSPCC and Childline, help is at
hand 24 hours a day to overcome problems such as bullying and racism,
and family problems such as young girls becoming pregnant, unplanned
pregnancies, physical, emotional and sexual abuse.
Yn ôl arbenigwyr, mae tuag un ym mhob
deg o blant yn cael ei gamdrin. Yn wyneb ystadegau fel y rhain, dylid
annog plant i droi at y mudiadau hyn, fel y cânt rywun i wrando arnynt
pan fo angen.
According to
experts, approximately one in every ten children is abused. In the
face of statistics like these, children should be encouraged to
contact these organisations, so that they have an ear to listen to
their problems.
Rhaid cydnabod bod y problemau yma yn
bodoli ers blynyddoedd, ac yn anffodus fe fyddant yn dal gennym yn y
dyfodol. Eleni, mae Childline wedi helpu eu miliynfed plentyn, gydag
oddeutu 3,500 o blant yn derbyn cymorth a chefnogaeth bob dydd, wrth i
120 o dimau ledled Cymru, Lloegr a Gogledd Iwerddon wneud ymchwil, a
darparu llyfrau a phamffledi ar fwlio, er mwyn addysgu pobl am yr
angen i sicrhau bod llais ymgyrchol ac annibynnol ar ran plant. Yn
debyg i Childline, y mae’r NSPCC yn cynnig llinell ffôn 24 awr yn rhad
ac am ddim. Ond yr NSPCC yw’r unig elusen a awdurdodir gan y gyfraith
i ymgyrchu ar ran plant. Er mwyn gwireddu eu gweledigaeth heriol ar
gyfer y dyfodol mae’r NSPCC yn dibynnu ar eich rhoddion chi, rhoddion
y cyhoedd. Dibynna’r mudiad hwn ar roddion gwirfoddol am 85% o’i incwm,
felly mae eich cefnogaeth chi yn hanfodol.
It must be
recognised that these problems are not new; they have existed for many
years and unfortunately they'll still be with us in the future. This
year Childline has helped its millionth child, with some 3,500
children receiving assistance and support daily. Childline has 120
teams working throughout Wales, England and Northern Ireland, and they
have been researching and providing books and pamphlets on bullying,
in order to educate people about the need to provide an independent
and campaigning voice on behalf of the children. Like Childline, the
NSPCC provides a free 24 hour helpline, but the NSPCC is the only
charity with the legal authority to campaign on behalf of children. In
order to realise their challenging vision for the future, the NSPCC
depends on you, the public, for your donations. This organisation
depends on voluntary donations for 85% of its income, so your support
is crucial.
Rydym ni, disgyblion Ysgol Gwynllyw, yn
galw arnoch chi, ieuenctid Cymru, i ymuno yn y frwydr yn erbyn
creulondeb trwy’r byd. Cefnogwch fudiadau fel Childline a’r NSPCC er
mwyn creu byd hapusach a gwell i’n plant. Byddwch yn ymwybodol o’r hyn
sy’n digwydd.
We, the pupils of Ysgol Gwynllyw, call upon you, the youth of Wales,
to join us in battle against cruelty throughout the world. Support
movements such as Childline and the NSPCC for a better and happier
world for our children. Be aware of what's happening.
Ystyriwch, trafodwch, gweithredwch.
