Tudalen 3 Gweithlen 1 Chwaraeon After completing the worksheet tell the children to think of the different equipment needed for different sports, e.g. ball, bike, fishing rod, bat, goggles, helmet, boots and prepare a worksheet themselves following the pattern in Bore Da. Tudalen 4 5 Dei Diog Sit in a circle and play a memory game. The firs pupil should start by saying "I'm going to Germany on holiday." Then the next pupil should say "xxx is going to Germany and I'm going to America on holiday…" and so on. After the children have read the cartoon, ask them to write a postcard from Dei Diog and his Nain to his mother. Tudalen 8 9 Cwpan Pêl-droed y Byd Put the names of all the competing countries in a hat, doubling a few to make sure that there's one for each child. One by one the children can choose a name from the hat. Ask them to search the internet to find information and prepare a poster for their county. They should also keep an eye on that county's games in the championships and help you to fill the scores on the chart each morning after a game. They can also tall the class a fact about their country following or before each game. Tudalen 10 Gweithlen 2 Gwyliau Delfrydol After answering the questions on the worksheet ask the children to use the patterns to write about their ideal holiday. The can also draw a picture of their ideal holiday. Tudalennau 11 Posau a Gwobrau Send the puzzles to Bore Da, Swyddfa'r Urdd, Ffordd Llanbadarn, Aberystwyth, SY23 1EY before 1 July. There are loads of prizes to be won. The name of the winners will appear in Bore Da. Tudalen 12 Gwyliau George Prepare a list of all kinds of clothes and write the name of each piece of clothing on a piece of A4 paper. Give each child a piece of paper and tell them draw a picture of that item of clothing. Then on the blackboard write Holiday on the beach in Spain and each child who thinks that the piece of clothing they have should be packed should go to the front of the classroom with their poster. Then do the same with skiing holiday in Austria, camping holiday in Wales, walking holiday in Scotland, sailing holiday in the Greek Isles and so on. Tudalen 13 David Davies Before reading the article make copies of the Vocabulary box and cut them up into individual Welsh and English words. Put a set of words in each envelope and give each group an envelope. The children should match the correct Welsh and English groups. Then when they read the article they should be familiar with the difficult words. Tudalen 14 15 Criw'r Bys Stop After reading the story the children should choose one of the characters and write three days of that person's holiday diary - a sentence a day is enough.
