Welcome! Here are suggestions on how to use December's |
After reading the cartoon, ask the pupils what presents they would give to the cartoon characters. Then put this list of presents on the white board. The pupils must decide which presents Celt will give each of his friends – there are some clues in the pictures: teddy, tractor, ball, dress. Now tell the children to think of four people to whom they will give a Christmas gift – members of the family or friends. Tell them to write a list of who will get what. Tudalen 3 Gweithlen 1 Nadolig llawen! After completing the worksheet the children can colour the pictures in, cut them out and glue them onto a piece of card. Using a puncher to make a hole, and a thin ribbon, the children can make small labels to put on Christmas gifts. Tudalen 6 7 Annwyl Celt y Ceiliog Read the letters with the class. Then tell the children to chose one of the letters and draw a picture of three of the things mentioned in the letter e.g. a picture of girl, a spider and a dog for Beth’s letter. Then divide the class into groups and give each group some of the pictures. Their task is to decide which letter goes with every picture. Tudalen 8 9 Poster Nadolig llawen! white paint to hide the bubbles in the pictures. After reading the story,
the pupils can imagine what is being said in the pictures. They can also
